Forest-based lignocellulosic biomass is a particularly complex raw material, making effective pretreatment and fractionation especially challenging. A number of biomass pretreatment systems are available among the NorBioLab partners. The sugar platform also includes infrastructure for enzyme technology and analytics, and biochemical/chemical conversion including product separation/recovery.
